The Contextual Menu

The contextual menu displays different command buttons related to the currently selected object. At the top of the contextual menu you will also find icons to open the selected object’s settings panel.

edit settings

Opens the settings panel of the selected object.

edit design

Opens the design tab of the settings panel of the selected object.

edit network

Opens the network tab of the settings panel of the selected object.

edit remote

Opens the remote tab of the settings panel of the selected object.

show Help

Displays or hides the Help panel to give you a quick information about the selected object.

General Commands

Just below the Settings icons you will find some general commands for each selected item:

find in patch

For design objects (faders, knobs, switch, etc…) on your control panel, this command will open the patch window and locate and highlight the object’s corresponding module, here you can see the delay knob has been located:

show patch

This general command is visible when a patch is selected and provides quick access to open the patch editor window.


Alternative to alt-click on the header of a racks or patch; this selection allows the renaming of the selected patch or racks.

save screen shot

Saves a screenshot of the selected rack or patch. Prompts with a save dialog allowing an image to be saved.

Standard Commands

The contextual menu is also where you can find classic commands for racks, patches and workspaces like open, clear, save as and reload .

add new patch

This command adds an empty patch just below the last one in the current rack.


Clears the currently selected patch or rack without prompt, and does not retain within the Trash Bin.


Prompts the user with the option to delete, and will place the selected item in the Trash Bin.


Prompts to save the currently selected item. This also saves any Audio content within the same relative location of the saved patch, rack, or workspace. A folder named Audio will contain all audio files and will be placed in the export location.

Prompts to open a new patch, rack, or workspace.


Saves the current patch, rack, or workspace. If not previously saved, it will prompt as a save as.

save as

Prompts a dialog to select a location and name to save the currently selected item.


This command will revert any unsaved changes, and reload the currently selected item to the last save state.

Rack Edit Commands


Places the currently selected rack on the copy clipboard.


Pastes the last rack copied, placing it to the right of the last rack.


Duplicates the currently selected rack and places it to the right of the last rack.

new (audio/light/video) rack

Creates a new empty audio, light, or video rack.

Module commands

For the modules, you ‘ll find of course the delete, copy, cut, paste, select all commands but also an interesting one named recreate module. This one gives you the possibilities to change the inputs / outputs number of a module with the same query window you used first when you have create it:

The color palette

Attached to this menu, you will also find the color palette which let you change the color of any object.
